MEET THE COMMITTEE.
The Committee works hard to ensure Club activities run regularly, that everyone feels included, especially newcomers, and that we all have fun! Find out a bit about the Committee members: how they discovered Canicross and what they love about the sport!

I wanted to do something fun with my rescue dog, who truly deserved it, and strengthen our bond too, but his recall was not good. Canicross was the answer! He loved running and getting out and about, and so did I.

I used to be a road runner, but canicross has given me new opportunities to enjoy time with my daughter and our dog. We all love the outdoors – fresh air, exercise, and being together. It's a win-win all round!

I was a late starter to running, and I never enjoyed it. But I thought I’d give canicross a go, as I needed an activity to do with my reactive Springer. I haven’t looked back since! I have two Malamutes I run with, too. I love running now!

Running with a dog was a revelation: I felt like a kid again, discovering something new and exciting! Canicross makes running so much more fun. I love it, and so do my dogs! We've shared some great times together, and plan many more.

I travelled quite a bit for work, so owning a dog wasn’t really an option. But I didn’t let this hold me back – I became a dog borrower! This led me to canicross, which has given my running pal, Lola the Lab, and me some fantastic adventures!

I've always loved dogs and running. Three years ago, I started canicrossing with my English Pointer, then I got a pointer-husky cross. Canicross gives my active pups a job and keeps them (largely) out of trouble!

I started canicross five years ago and instantly fell in love with it! It has been a fantastic way to strengthen the bond between me and my dog. We now compete in exciting events that include swimming, biking, and, of course, canicrossing.

I get a real buzz from running through the beautiful countryside. It’s such a joy to see the changing seasons and wildlife. Canicross really lets me and my dogs experience the beauty of Mother Nature like nothing else.

I have always wanted to run with my dog, Brew. We love adventure and don't mind hills! So, canicross was the perfect option; running with a pack is exhilarating! We've participated in a few events and would like to do more in the future.
